Empowering children and teens to navigate life's social challenges with evidence-based narratives and flexible-thinking scripts.
Social Quest takes students beyond the therapy room and into the real-life locations where social communication matters most.
Kitchen, Bedroom, Living Room, Bathroom, and Garage/Yard. Practice greetings and family problem-solving.
Classroom, Library, Cafeteria, Hallway, and Gymnasium. Navigate peer interactions and teacher expectations.
Grocery Store, Mall, Restaurant, Movies, and Doctor's Offices. Master social scripts for the public sphere.
Social Quest uses a proven two-step methodology to bridge the gap between knowing social rules and using them naturally.
In Receptive mode, students are presented with choice-based questions to develop foundational social scripts.
Move to Expressive mode to transition from recognition to production. Open-ended prompts challenge students to articulate their own social solutions.
Most social skills tools are too rigid for the real world. Social Quest bridges the "generalization gap" by providing over 800 narratives where students practice reading context and thinking flexibly before high-stakes social encounters.
Utilizes Story-Based Intervention, an evidence-based practice documented by the National Autism Center (2011).
Explicitly targets perspective-taking, problem-solving, and gauging non-verbal reactions in teens.
Develops internal "Self-Talk" scripts that lower social pressure and improve real-time decision making.
Teaches that there is often more than one "right" way to respond, mirroring the complexity of real life.
Effortlessly manage your entire caseload or family in one place. Customize student profiles with unique avatars or real photos to build ownership and engagement.
Your central command center for student selection. Quickly switch between learners and view individual progress at a glance.
Instantly set the therapeutic mode—Receptive or Expressive—to match your student's current developmental stage and goals.
Eliminate manual tallying and subjective charting. Social Quest automatically captures every interaction, providing crystal-clear data to support clinical decisions and IEP documentation.
Reinforce social growth with a motivating, symbolic reward system. As students solve social challenges, they earn unique tokens that transform abstract concepts into tangible achievements.
See why Social Quest is the top-rated choice for social skills intervention among SLPs and neurodivergent families.
"This app was reviewed with students in junior high and high school who have difficulty with social situations. It provided discussions within the group in a non-confrontational manner. The students were engaged since scenarios were relevant to the problems they face. Using the receptive language setting first helped them remember situations previously discussed, which improved their appropriate responses in the expressive portion."
"I love the variety of social situations included and the special need-friendly set up. Since most of the patients on my caseload have Autism, this app is a very helpful tool in my therapy toolbox! The illustrations and story content are very well designed."
"Smarty Ears has done it again! This app targets multiple and various social scenarios around community and home with a motivating quest theme. It doesn't take much time to set up—great for quick 2-minute transitions before your next group!"
"My son really liked the knights theme and used the Hall of Rewards as a transition tool. I found many of the questions are highly relatable to school-aged students. It’s a wonderful tool to have both in the clinic and at home."
"Bottom line: This is a must-have for middle school students who need extra receptive and expressive language practice."

I really like some of the self talk included into this app. It’s a great strategy for our students and I like that the questions directly request those skills. I love the variety of locations for social situations. It’s a great opportunity for discussing that our whole world is social! More than 800 questions are included, which gives it plenty of variety.
