This is our second giveaway, and we really like doing it! This week we have two great apps to giveaway: Articulate it & Apraxia Ville. These are essential tools to your  practice and we will be doing a giveaway.

 Here is a little bit about these apps:

Apraxia Ville is a unique application created specifically to help children with childhood apraxia of speech and severe speech-sound disorders. With multiple levels, both vowel and consonant targets, and the ability to create custom words, Apraxia Ville is perfect for those students struggling with sound production. Articulate it! is an application designed by a certified speech-language pathologist for the iPhone and the iPad to help children practice their pronunciation skills. Articulate it! has been nominated for several awards, and mentioned as ” every speech therapists’ favorite and best” articulation application on the market. This app was designed to allows speech therapists and parents work towards improving the speech of children with speech delays.

  1. Would love to try this app! I am a special needs teacher who requires apps to children with speech impairment. This would be great to try if given the chance.

  2. I find myself using Custom Boards a lot, it has been a lifesaver for making quick literacy boards. I have several students with apraxia and would especially love to get my hands on ApraxiaVille!

  4. Due to a limited budget, I have not yet obtained any Smarty Ears apps. I have heard wonderful things from other SLP’s about Articulate It! and Sunny Articulation test!

  7. Smarty Ears Apps are easy to use, but the best part is that you can coordinate and keep track of all of your students work through the Theragy Center app. A big plus is the ‘homework’ page!
    Smarty Ears enables me to spend quality time with my students rather than worrying about my therapy notes!
    I can ensure that my focus is truly on therapy results!

  8. These apps would be so useful! Our district does not provide money for apps and as a brand new SLP, I haven’t been able to purchase them.

  9. My district just gave the SLPs Ipads to use and I have been eying the Apraxiaville app! Would love to use it with a few of my kiddos.

  11. Both the Apraxiaville or Sunny Articulation Test apps look good. We don’t have $$ for apps, so we don’t have these yet. Maybe soon.

  12. I have just started researching apps for client use. I’m looking at a few smarty ears apps that target articulation and language skills. I’ll comment again when I work with them.

  13. I love and use Sunny app throughout the year with my students. It is a great way for me to keep my students motivated and aware of their progress. It also has been great for a quick screener in the classroom for RTI.

  14. I don’t have any smarty ears apps yet but Apraxia Ville is on the top of my wishlist for next time I get Itunes $ in the budget

  15. It’s hard to choose which app I like best, but I have benefited most from the Common Core Early Language Screener since the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year. Quick, easy and very engaging! Thanks Smarty Ears!

  16. Sunny articulation test is the only one I currently own but I love it. I would love to try out both of these other apps
